Ingredients:

  • 1 jar Perfect Choice Asparagus Bruschetta
  • 1 cup corn flour (for the arepas)
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 boiled chicken fillet, chopped into small pieces
  • ½ cup grated cheddar cheese (or cheese of choice)
  • pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Preparation:

In a large bowl mix flour, salt, and water until a homogenous dough forms. Let it rest for 5 minutes. Divide the dough into 6 balls and shape them into patties. Cook one side of the patties in a pan or electric grill for 3 to 5 minutes without flipping. Next, flip the patties and cook the other side. While the arepas are in the pan, put the chopped up chicken fillet into a bowl and add the jar of Perfect Choice Asparagus Bruschetta. Add half the cheese, salt, pepper, your favorite spices, and mix well. When the arepas are ready, half open them and add the filling. They should be hot enough to melt the cheese. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and enjoy!
